[Elecraft] Slippery Feet Solution

My K2 has always been slipperier in the front than I've liked, if the bail
wasn't extended, and now that I recently began using mine as my main station
rig, I decided to do something about it. I didn't want to stick that
poster-mounting stuff or one of those pads that keep stuff from slipping
under the feet, so I took a couple rubber stick-on feet like you see in
hardware stores and Radio Shack (should be at least 3/16" high), and with a
hobby knife, cut them in 1/4" squares. Then I just pushed one into each side
of the bail above the mounting screw heads, and although they just barely
stick out, they work very well. In fact, since the feet in the rear have
more surface area, it became slipperier than the front, so I cut a couple
more and pushed them into the back feet above the screw heads. Since they're
a snug fit and just a tiny bit sticks out, I expect them to hold up well,
but if they don't, a little bit of silicone in the hole first will probably
make them more permanent. Now I have to break myself from hanging on to the
rig every time I push the phone plug in & pull it out!
