Space weather or no, something was very strange yesterday at 2300Z.  I 
heard exactly no one QNI to the net.  Right at net time, an S5 very QRS 
station did a QRL? on 14050.6 and twice I told him "yes," however he 
didn't hear me I guess and began calling CQ.  Tuned around the net freq 
for about a half-hour but nil.

I'm sure the tribander was at least semi-OK since the phone band was 
filled with the great bedlam of CQ WPX SSB.  Oh well, I guess that's why 
they call it "The Magic of Wireless."  Rigger/tree guy comes out today 
to climb my tower, fix broken low band antenna, and set up rigging for 
an experimental Marconi-T.  Wind is coming up so not sure if it'll be 
save to climb the one steel and one organic towers.
