[Elecraft] Heil HC5 and Bandwidth Mod

I am considering doing the B/W mod for the KSB2 on my K2 S/N1422, and wonder
how others have liked it using a Heil Mic element (my HC-5 is in a old
Kenwood MC50). At present I get good audio reports, but wonder if widening
the B/W to 2.2 or 2.5 KHz is the way to go. I have already changed out the
crystals in the filter, so it is a relatively easy mod. As a point of
interest when I started using the Heil element I changed out R-14 to 10K and
have plenty of audio drive without any preamp for the mics.

I would be interested in hearing from others using a HC-5 element with the
original B/W or the new B/W or 2.2 or 2.5KHz.
