Yes.  You can use either mic port, but not both.  There is a menu setting to
choose the mic source, front panel or rear panel.

I have been looking at the microphone jack on the rear of the rig. Would
this give one the ability to use a standard computer headset in place of a
standard microphone plugged into the front of the rig?
