Both 80 and 150 kHz have their adherents. 80 kHz will give you tuning that's 
less touchy, though I've never had trouble with 150 kHz, even without the 
"felt mod." The wider band will let you hear WWV on 10 MHz and get you into 
some less crowded frequencies -- especially helpful when there's a big 
contest on, for example. You can't go "wrong" either way, I don't think. You 
might search the archives for "K1 tuning range" for more opinions.

AFAIK, CW is the only digital mode supported by the K1.
