[Elecraft] First contact with my K2.

I had some spare time so I turned on the K2 and tuned
around on 40 meters, and was copying a slow CW qso
between KC9DSE and KB3OXG? on 7111, in the old novice
portion of the band.
I think KB3OXG was new to CW also, and maybe, like me, in
over his head, and he signed out quickly.

I could not resist calling James, KC9DSE with the K2 running
about 15 watts.  He came right back to my call, and then I 
got so excited I forgot how to spell, how to operate CW
basically.
In the middle of the QSO, a broadcast station came on
and made it very hard copy for me, I can only guess how
hard it was on the other end.
I got so excited I sent a bit fast, so James sent the same speed
which I had a hard time copying with the broadcast and QSB!

Funny, I don't think I got as excited and worked up the first
time I made a CW qso about 20 years ago.

The XYL said I looked like a little kid at xmass when I told
her about the contact!

I think I need to practice both sending and receiving a lot more
before I try any more contacts. It sure was exciting!
