I use external to keep it simple.

Varta 12V 200mAh package NiMeHybrid
85 x 18 x 135 mm  and  534g weight.

KOK 3720 3-package 11,1V 3270mAh LitiumPolymer
65 x 18 x 100 mm and 203g weight. Special charger!!
