I suspect that irc may be a foreign concept/territory for many.  I set up an IRC 
channel for K3 discussions...and it too could use more activity.

I even made it easier to use it with a web-based interface.

I've noticed that some folks like mailing lists and avoid forums and IRC and 
vice versa.  I too dumb to discern...so I keep them all open (g).
