Well, C is certainly compatible with Linux and other unices  
(including OS X).

There appear to be some pretty small http servers available, as in my  
wireless router and ethernet bridge.  If something like that could be  
ported to the K3, a web interface would be pretty universal (lynx,  
anyone?)
