Thanks to all of you who responded, I rechecked the chokes installed to date and found the little critter (the Good News) had been installed in the wrong place: namely, RFC15 which calls out a tiny brown body choke.  I only had one such critter and didn't verify the color bands.  
   
  The Bad News is the leads are too short to use.  I obviously don't have the tiny RFC15 either. Parts order to Elecraft done this afternoon.  Perhaps I'll be able to do the smoke test next weekend.  Meanwhile, I can start building one of the three options kits purchased with the K2.
