I've just installed a backlight kit - there wasn't a clear plastic film 
on the backlight either...

The K1 now looks really good, well worth modifying. I used the 6 mA 
option and the light level is just right for me.

Beware the default shipping charge to the UK for small parts, such as 
this kit, can exceed the cost of the parts. The charge quoted by Lisa 
was $7.00 instead of the $22.00 on the web order page (use the order 
form and choose Int'l Air Parcel Post, add the quoted price in the 
comments box). It's best to obtain a quote for the shipping costs of 
small part orders...
