[Elecraft] antennas

Hi all, I'm sorry to bring up this off topic subject, but I have a 
question for those of you that like to cobel together your own antennas.
I have here some wire htat has 2 center cores and an outer brade. this 
in turn is covered by an outer foil and then insulated. what I'd like to 
know, if I were to attach some coax to one end of this wire, center core 
to center core and brade to brade, etc, would it be sufficent to pass as 
a dipole or am I kidding myself? basically wwhat I'd like to know is if 
it will work. I'm strapped for space here so intend on aquiring some 
electrical piping and coiling the wire around it and sealing it from 
wear and tear by the elements. if you could, please kindly write me off 
list as I don't want to clutter the list up too much with off topic 
posts. my apologies for this one as I wasn't sure where elseI could take 
this one.
