As with the others, limiting the power by limiting the audio drive is
preferable. It holds the IMD to a minimum. In any case, you want to avoid an
ALC action with PSK31.
As for isolation: the K3 has fully-isolated audio inputs and outputs ;-)
What isolation gets you is freedom from hum due to ground loops than include
the mains supply lines. I run a notebook PC and when I'm operating PSK with
my K2 I just run the notebook on battery! No problems that way even with
direct connections between the K2 and computer.

front panel of the K2 at maximum and reducing audio drive so that I get
about 30W output, or should I reduce the output power on the front panel to
30W? With my previous rigs I have always been driven by the necessity to
see no ALC action on the meter. Is this the same with the K2?
