NN4X has some valid points and I like his spirit. However, the funny thing about the K3, it was a remark attributed to W0YK that piqued my interest in the radio. Basically, I read an article that said Eric and Wayne had captured that 'Drake/Collins' receiver sound...

That's EXACTLY what's been missing from all the modern radios I've gone through! Collins and Drake, state of the art? Nope. But what they have is something I've missed for a long time...
