The Motorola amplified (7W to 15W) speakers are GREAT for our uses.

Some seem to be more susceptible to RF getting back into them, but at
$15 (US), not including shipping, they are a great buy, and MOST
(though not all) have proven to be fairly immune from RFI.

I have modification (wiring) instructions for many of the Motorola
amplified speaker models on my web site at:

    http://www.n0ss.net/motorola_amp_spkr_mods_20061219.pdf

I also have plans for an amplified speaker which you can build into
a case of your choosing. See:

    http://www.n0ss.net/tda2003v_5w-7w_af_amp_v7.pdf

If you wish to BUILD a custom K2 amplified speaker into an EC2 case,
I can supply some documentation. It's not on my web site, but I will
be happy to provide what I have (fairly complete) just for the asking.
