[Elecraft] Up- and Downgrading the K3

Hi,

What will the downgrading of the K3 involve? 

For example a K3 with subreceiver would not be a legal TRX for the IARU Region 1
FD in the "limited" class. In this class no secondary RXs are allowed, so to
legalize the K3, the KRX3 would need to be removed.

A major open heart operation? Something which can done in a few minutes the field?
