[Elecraft] Funky antenna issue

Hi Don,
Problem solved! Before opening the rig, I inspected the Power Pole
connections and found that one of the negative pole connectors was loose
internally and not making contact. I replaced it with a new connector and
all is fine.

You have an open path for the DC power - somewhere - and the antenna is
providing the required grounding path in one manner or another.
Since you have just installed the KAT1, the first thing to do is remove it
(don't forget to put in the jumper) and see if behavior is restored to
normal. Then let us know yea or nah so we can determine the next step.
