There is a problem with that connector at least on the K1 and KX1. The bnc on those radios are soldered to the board and that connector after use can damage the bnc on the radio. I had that happen to the KX1 and had to replace the connector on the KX1. Ask Jerry McCarthy about how hard it is to unsolder the original connector and there is the possibility of damaging the circuit board when you are trying to unsolder the original bnc connector.
What i use is a pigtail cable with a PL 259 on one end and a bnc connector on the other end which will mate with the one on the radio. Then use a double female connector to mate with the Pl259 and your coax cable. A lot safer that way. Just a thought! <g>
