[Elecraft] Returning to the fold

Last year, I built my first Elecraft kit, KX1 s/n 1287, and loaded it with the antenna tuner and one of the first KXB8030 modules.  I liked the rig a lot, and made lots of good QSO's with it , including some good DX on all bands.  Then I strayed.  I swapped the KX1 for a Wilderness Sierra, another really excellent QRP rig.  But I didn't build it.  Somehow it's not the same.  

After reading the wonderful reviews of the K2, hearing from a former electronics student of mine who built a K2, and working Charlie, W0YG, a couple of times from his K2  on VK9C (Cocos-Keeling), I decided to take the plunge.  My K2 kit (QRP version), along with the KNB2, KDSP2, K160RX, and KBT2 options is on its way.  I'm looking forward to cluttering up the dining room table with a building project once again.
