I hardly dare to confess and I die of shame ( sorry Frank ).
The > 20 dB difference I noticed in ( audio ) S/N figure does ( of course
:-) not really exist.
Guess what ? I forgot to switch off the .nt in de ssb mode.
I stand corrected !
Lesson learnt.
The SSB ( w.o. DSP ) mode has ( in the same filter width as in CW ) as good
as ( audio ) S/N as the CW mode.
Sorry having bothered you with unnecessary bw.
Fortunately no one did respond.
I am happy with my K2, even with the SSB module :-)
Tonight I'll sleep well again.
