[Elecraft] K2 Demo near Seattle?

Alan,

I cannot provide a demo at this distance, but I can assure you that a
properly aligned K2 with an optimized AGC threshold will certainly be able
to 'pull signals out of the mud'.

For field ops, the K2 has the following strengths:
Low receive current draw
Very good receive sensitivity
Good IP3 numbers
Full QSK operation (hear between dits up to 25 or 30 WPM)
Built-in keyer
Automatic Wide Range Auto Antenna tuner available as an option
All band capability (160 thru 10 meters) with available options
Internal Battery option available
etc., etc.

As for weaknesses - that is more difficult. The K2 does have limits, but I
do not find them constraining for my operation. I guess we could say that
it does not have a sub-receiver, but OTOH, that was not within the design
constraints of the K2, so I cannot count that as a weakness - counting
'weaknesses' depends on what you are comparing the K2 with. The K2 'does
what it does', and does it very nicely. The specifications point out its
capabilities (you may download the manual from www.elecraft.com).
