Yes, I agree, I use it almost all of the time. My preferred filters for
casual tuning is 1.00 kHz Xtal-filter combined with AF1. That gives a nice
reduction in noise and also rounded filter slopes that makes it easy to hear
stations even if they are a bit off. If noise or interference increases,
then I switch to 0.40 or 0.10 X-tal filter.
