Don,

I will drill the holes in  the lower rear panel, but they will be used for
other purposes. (fixed level audio out and Transverter PTT).

It will add the possibility to use the QRP K2 with transverter and
Digimode-interface on VHF while leaving the KAT-100/KPA-100 combo at home.
(as I did with my own K2)

I have been offered a nice top cover with KIO-2 and KAT-2 and i will use
that for this project. Tne KAT-2 is about the last option that fits in my
own K2.. so I will use that one myself :-)

Sjoerd,

Why not drill the lower rear panel for the RCA jacks?  The drilling template
is included with the K60XV instructions - or you can order a new (already
drilled) rear panel/heat sink from Elecraft.

The RCA jacks are adequate and reliable at the power levels of the added
transverter outputs - even Collins used RCA jacks on some of their
prestigious equipment for RF connections.
