[Elecraft] KX1 Question

Managed to work N7RV in the Seattle area, so I may manage a QNI to ECN 
in about 10 mins.  I'm getting 1.7 W into a 26' wire with the steel 
fence around the pool as the ground plane.

I just noticed that everytime I turn the KX1 on, it come up on 14040.0 
regardless of where I had it before.  Is this normal?

If anyone sees this before 20M ECN, listen for a very weak one ... I'll 
wait until the big guns are taken care of.
