There should be some red & black wire, Frank. There is a coaxial
poer connector that is supplied for one end, and you have to put whatever
you require for your power supply on the other end.
No red/black???? I think it is number 18 or 16 gauge
stranded.

For those that have an interest in the current K2 serial numbers,
today I received K2 kit #5600.
I did a look see glance over inventory as per the instructions but I
dont see any type of 12V DC power cord? Radio shack -- for me -- is a
110 mile round trip drive. So no power cord is a big item. I can always
use some zip cord off some other piece of gear but it would have been
lots better if it was included in the kit?
During FD last weekend, the K2 I used worked exceedingly well on CW.
So it appears to be worth the pain of building one.
