Great note Mark. I am looking forward to the project. I will check out
the rework eliminators. I think that an incremental approach is the
best and will follow your advice about building the basic K2 and testing
it first.

The XVs are all Elecraft ones. I ordered the XV432 right after coming
back from Dayton. They had them in Dayton but I saw no reason to
contribute to the OH treasury. When I got that built, I decided to go
the K2 route. I like the idea of automating the whole thing right from
the K2 front panel and so I opted for and bullt the XV50 even though I
have a very nice SSB tranverter for that band. So now I have a stack of
4 XVs, just waiting for the K2 to be ready!

The KK7B binaural receiver is neat. I had built that a while ago but
never really played with it much. Last year I built the IQ-PRO DDS
symthesizer that puts out two RF signals in quadrature. Used that to
feed the binaural receiver. I put that near my bed so that I listen to
the HF bands as I fall asleep. The binaural receiver is neat.
Definitely recommeded.

Thanks again for your note,
All the best,
Raj, N2RD
