[Elecraft] K2-Power Supplies

I experienced the 50Hz warble on received signals when I used  the 25A power 
supply on my newly-built K2.  I constructed a 3A-supply using  the Linear 
Technology  LT1085 and, most importantly, a toriod  transformer.  The supply can 
be stood on top of the K2 without any  problems.  I've since tested a switching 
supply which also gives no  problems.
Several K2 users have complained about poor modulation  reports.  Many of  my 
contacts have given my rig unsolicited good  comments on the modulation 
quality.  I'm wondering if it can be attributed  to the very good regulation of the 
power supply - only 50mV (in 15V) drop at  3A.  Or perhaps it is the MD-2 
microphhone (now discontinued) in  combination with the K2s excellent design?
