[Elecraft] K1 Backlight mod question

 The instructions for the K1 Backlight Mod (Step 6) say "DO NOT remove the
thin white plastic sheets which cover both front and back of the backlight
assembly."  When I removed the clear plastic film, there was no white
plastic sheet underneath it.  There is a white plastic sheet on the other
side which has the K and A printed on it for Cathode and Anode.  Is there
supposed to be a white sheet on the side that gets stuck to the foam
insulator???  If so, do I need to request another backlight?
