Hi Dan,

The K1 is a CW-only rig. SSB copy is difficult--because of the narrow
crystal filter bandwidth--even for the "native" sideband (LSB). You
can widen the filter to about 2 kHz and thus copy LSB with decent
fidelity if you add a switch to the right side panel that temporarily
substitutes 8V DC for the normal tuning voltage used by the varactor
diodes in the crystal filter. To copy USB, you'd have to add another
switch that temporarily switches in a different reactance in series
with the BFO crystal, pulling it to the other side of the filter.
