[Elecraft] No power from J4 on KPA100

Greetings all,

Well my moment of truth has come - and gone - on #5229.

Plenty of power from my power source. Plenty of power coming in on  
J3. But
none when I hook up to P3 on the K2, because no power on the pads of   
J4.

K2 works fine on it's own DC input and I don't think it's the P3  
connector on the K2
because it works fine on the internal battery too.

Now, I had to ground the negative side of J4 to the ground side of J5  
with insulated wire because I ruined the neg pad on J4. Could this be  
the cause? If so, where could I ground the J4?

All voltage tests on KPA100 have been more or less normal up to now.  
(See my previous post today.)

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
