I have been using something like this under MS Win2K for the last few
months. It is called EverNote. Drawing on a graphics pad, note taking,
to do lists, etc all in one searchable (via many pathways) database.
Very, very easy to use. Very intuitive. I am synchronizing it between
all of the computers I use on a daily basis (six ?) as I travel about at
home and at work. The version I am using is the free one. There are many
more options in the for pay version.
