Jim,

The 8 pin female mike connector that plugs into the K2 mike jack is 
readily available.  You may even be able to get one from Radio 
Shack.  MixW controls the K2 very nicely.  You can change frequency, 
mode, filter settings, and it even controls PTT.  Don't run the 
K2/100 over 30 watts; 20 watts and a fan is better.  Set the power 
control high and control audio level to get the power.  Turn off 
compression.  You will need an external volume control or attenuator 
for audio from the sound card.
