I noticed the same thing on 40 and 80 meters past 2 nights (higher noise
than usual and odd propagations). On 40 meters, I was hearing Eastern Asia
stations (one appeared to be Chinese) from about 7.220 down to around 7.140
MHz.
Traditional regional stations were barely detectible --- almost
non-existent.
I attribute this to the 0930 region events on Sun
