[Elecraft] K2 Remote Program

I have noticed that the K2 Remote S meter display loses its signal when the SEND CW button is pushed.  The S METER button has to be pushed to reestablish the S meter signal.  Stray RF is not the cause since this will happen with the K2 in CW TEST mode.  Is this normal?  Roy Morris  W4WFB
