I would think a much better idea would be to replace the relay(s) in the amp
with faster ones.
If you want fast as well as high power, I might suggest the KiloVac HC-1
vaccuum relays. Take a look at http://www.mgs4u.com/relay.htm - they are
priced at less than $40 a pair and will handle the amp switching marvelously
even with fast QSK. The only drawback is the 26.5 volt coil, but an
enterprising ham should be able to come up with a suitable power source.
A pin diode T/R switch is yet another option for silent switching.
