[Elecraft] Lost K2 Sidetone

Go to MENU, St L (sidetone level).

Hold MENU to enter the level parameter edit (underlines under the numerals
to the right).

NOW, tap DISPLAY. That will toggle the sidetone source between U6-25 and
U8-4. Since you don't have sidetone now, one tap should restore it. 

That was a change that occurred way back during a firmware upgrade in which
the sidetone is now taken from a different pin on  the controller.
Unfortunately that toggle gets forgotten about and then enabled accidentally
and suddenly the sound of silence is "deafening", Hi!!

I have somehow lost my K2's sidetone in CW mode.  I checked the sidetone
level and pitch, and they are set properly, according to the display, but I
don't hear a tone as I adjust them.  The spotting tone also does not work.
The internal keyer works fine, as far as keying the transmitter.  I haven't
opened up the rig recently.  All I've done is play with menu settings.  Am I
overlooking a menu option that disables the sidetone?  I'm definitely in CW
mode, not SSB, so the sidetone should be working.

Any suggestions on where to look for the problem?
