I often hook up my Drake R4A to a buffer amplifier I added to my K2, I
can run both together and transmit on the K2 using the R4A as the "main"
receiver. Most of the time the Drake sounds nice and is surprisingly
good for such a vintage piece of equipment. When the going is tough the
K2 is easily the better receiver in pretty much all respects.
