[Elecraft] K2 decreaded audio after digital working

I work RTTY every now and then. I take audio out from external speaker 
jack in back panel. Audio is taken to personal computer via "audio 
isolator", (galvanically isolated transformer).

After unplugging external speaker plug K2 audio output is very often 
decreased. I have to turn the AF GAIN to clockwise to get audio restored 
to normal. It suddenly "pops" to the normal level.

What is the reason? Something troublesome impedance in my "digital mode 
cable"?
