[Elecraft] Switching power supply designs

Having heard all the pros, and cons, and cons -
regarding switching supplies. I bit the bullet,
and bought an ASTRON RS-35M, 35amp DC 13.8 
regulated "iron" power supply.  They won't quit,
they hold their value over years of use - figured
why not buy what the switchers are trying to
imitate.  I think a new one is like $130.

I must admit - it is not light either.  Meters,
very very quiet - pure DC amps.
