[Elecraft] Tuning the T1

I just purchased a new FT-817ND, and I intend to use it with an Elecraft T1
antenna tuner.  What's the best (i.e. proper) method to generate a carrier
so the T1 can tune?  Is there some menu combination that outputs a carrier
or ?  I realize that I can simply hold down the keyer, but that will produce
either a series of dots and/or dashes... not a continuous tone.  Suggestions
for a newbie?
