AFIL+SPLIT is the autonotch, which works only in USB/LSB and is disabled 
in CW and DATA modes.  If you are in CW mode, for example, it will 
display the message you are seeing.

AFIL+REC is for the denoiser, which should work in US, LSB and CW modes, 
but not DATA.
