Yes, a little. But this method is used for aligning the K1's VFO, so it 
can't be that hard  :)

It will remain optional since it's easier to build the kit the original 
way. This modification is only intended for those who have a 
significant modulation problem, and cannot solve it by moving things 
around. Fortunately, few K2 owners fall into this category.

No. VCO performance is identical in all other ways.
