| OK, I give in, Gary pointed out the obvious.  I was forgetting that with
| an active auto tuner the K2 MCU auto reduces the output when pressing 
the
| TUNE button.  Simply overcome, as I do very frequently but didn't relate
| it to the K60XV, by pressing the TUNE and DISPLAY buttons at the same
| time.  Maybe a reminder should be added to the last instruction on page 
14
| of the manual that any active auto tuner will command this power 
reduction
| so turn it off for this test.

| My K60XV performs as expected and intended, well actually I have just
| noticed something else which I will take up with Gary.

| Right now that is out of the way onwards to the VCO shield mod.
