Marine Corps Master Technical Sargeant Edward James Rock Jr.
Two tours in the Pacific as a radar/radioman on a B17 then on a B24, 
separated by duty as a DI at Camp Lejuene, North Carolina

Amateur radio operator before that conflict but I have no idea what his 
call sign was.

I called him Dad.
