I used the Unitrode UC3906-based A & A charger.

They have a "QRP" special with two switch positions. I put my switch on the
rear panel (set for 1A and 0.25A)

The eHam.net reviews have been favorable and I use it for Gel Cell batteries
from 2AH to 7AH.
