Contemplating the building of a K2 this winter (fall) for use aboard my
narrow boat afloat on the UK inland waterway system.
The intention will be to slightly 'ruggedise' the K2, conformal coating
the PCBs against moisture etc.
I know that the manual states that upright toroids should not be glued
into place but .....
This K2 will be operating within 2m of a single cylinder diesel engine
that has a pronounced 'thump'/low frequency vibration - crockery left on
the draining board some 5m forward of the engine is liable to make its
way back into the sink!.
So, bearing in mind that I only wish to secure the edge of the toroids
that are upright and touching the PCB, not coat the whole toroid in
adhesive, (and change the inductance) what adhesive would be best ...?
Two part epoxy?
Superglue?
Silicone Sealant?
Many thanks
