Whether it took 100 hours or twenty hours does not matter. You've gotten 
the brass ring; your K2 worked the first time! Congratulations!

I have a section on my Webpage concerning things you need to be a 
successful homebrewer and/or kitbuilder.  Here's number 5:

5) The MOST important thing you need is patience, patience and more 
patience !!!  Building a kit or project is supposed to be fun; not a 
competition or a race.  Take your time and triple check everything; and 
odds are when you do the "smoke test" your project won't go up in smoke!
