Since the Marine band is 150 MHz VHF range, its matched antenna would not make a good HF antenna. However, with a tuner it might tune up on some ham bands with some undefined pattern of takeoff depending on where the loading coils for VHF are located on the Marine mast. Stuart K5KVH
