[Elecraft] kpa 100 PA hot ??? & no power out

Bill,

Check the menu entry for CAL tPA - it should be set to the same temperature
as the transistor cases in degrees C.  If you let things cool down to
ambient (long enough so everything is at the same temperature, you can set
it properly.

I really don't know what is going on here because I have never experienced
it and never had an opportunity to analyze it, but baed on what some others
have said, it usually results from operation under some 'adverse conditions'
such as might be found on Field Day or portable operation - so my guess is
that it may be related to some spike that comes in on the power supply line
or maybe something entirely diffeerent, but bottom line judging from the
reports I have heard about, it occurs seldom in a home station environment,
and most of the occurrances are related to portable operating conditions -
of course my suppositions on this have yet to be substantiated.
