[Elecraft] KX1 power mod

   I'm building my third KX1, for a friend, and I
wondered: when I was building the second one, I wasn't
happy with the power out, and I swapped out a couple
of resistors at Gary's suggestion, which enhanced the
PO. I then did it to my original KX1, Kixie, and was,
again, gratified by the results. Has this ever been
discussed on the list? 

  The original recommendation was "...reducing R11 in
Q5's emitter to 3.3 to 5.6 ohms [I used 4.7,] and
increasing R30 on Q6's base to 27-33 ohms [33, here.]
...R30 should not be made larger than 33 ohms to
prevent problem when the atu operates, and unless a
spectrum analyzer is available to check the 
transmitter output for purity."
